Out of Esri.
Into infrastructure you own.
What We Do
Azimuth Works moves spatial data, applications, and workflows off Esri's proprietary ecosystem and onto open infrastructure built on PostGIS, GeoServer, and modern web standards.
You keep your data. You own the code. You stop paying for capabilities you don't use.
Every engagement ships as a Docker image, a PostGIS database, and a GitHub repository owned by you. No proprietary components, no vendor lock-in, no licensing dependencies.
Who It’s For
Privately-held organizations in commercial real estate, utilities, environmental services, and field operations — where GIS is operationally necessary but not the core business, and the annual Esri renewal has become the question no one wants to answer.
The Practice
Azimuth Works is the consulting practice of Andrew Harvey, a GIS Architect with 18 years of experience and three enterprise migrations off Esri-centric infrastructure. The firm operates under Planet Krouton LLC, registered in Minnesota.
Andrew holds a Master's degree and the GISP credential. His current client is Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, where he is modernizing legacy GIS infrastructure onto a PostGIS, GeoServer, and Mapbox stack.
